Guarantee
We try our hardest to maintain our equipment and provide you with the best gear we can. We guarantee that all equipment offered for rental is in 100% operational condition. If for any reason equipment is found to malfunction or have a defect, please let us know immediately. If we cannot solve your problem over the phone, we will replace the equipment with an equivalent or better item. If we are unable to replace the equipment, the charge for that item will be subtracted from your invoice.
At Directed Lighting, we do not charge for bulb burnouts, but bulbs physically broken by rough handling or hard impacts are charged as damaged equipment. We provide at least one spare bulb for every type of lighting fixture we send out, and if there is a burnout, replace the burned out bulb, but save it and return it to us. Any unreturned bulbs either new or burned out will be billed as a lost item.
Loss and Damage
Lost or damaged items are billed at their new replacement cost plus 8.875% NYC Sales tax. A grace period of one week from receipt of a loss and damage invoice is extended to all productions. Any items from the report returned during the one week grace period will be accepted back free of charge. The final total of the loss and damage invoice is due at the end of the grace period.
